We craft our City Bed Frame with natural beech and alder blonde woods or rich, solid walnut from FSC® certified sources in North America. No MDF or veneers are used on our platform bed frame, ensuring durability and timeless beauty for years.

EASY ASSEMBLY,

Assembly is a snap: rails lock into finger joints while the legs pull the corners tightly together without additional hardware or tools. Even slats gently tuck into place with new organic cotton ribbing to minimize wood squeaks.

The City Bed Frame features elegantly curved corners on the headboard and gently rounded edges on the front of the frame, softening the design and enhancing safety. Raised slats ensure your mattress sits on top of the frame, making it easier to rotate your mattress and change sheets, without sacrificing the appeal of the design.

Clearance under the bed frame: approximately 5 inches. Optional headboard is 34 inches (39.25" from the floor). Slats are spaced approximately 2 inches apart.

Please note, beginning December 1, 2023, City Bed will have legs attached to the headboard and footboard instead of the side rails. The Queen size, Blonde City Bed Frame is made in an Avocado facility in Tecate, Mexico.

Shipping & Delivery

Our City Bed Frame is handmade in our FSC®-certified (C156318) facility and ships via FedEx in two boxes, 3 if you select the optional headboard. King and Cal King sizes will ship FedEx Freight, AGS curbside, or AGS white glove. You may receive one FedEx tracking number for all boxes. (The FedEx tracking system may indicate the weight for just the first of the boxes.) Optional in-home setup does not include hauling away your old furniture. For optional in-home delivery, our shipping provider will contact you directly to schedule your delivery. At this time, furniture and mattress and/or bedding orders can not be coordinated to arrive at the same time.

Solid Wood Construction

The City Bed Frame is constructed from solid wood. No laminates or veneers are used in our platform bed frame. We choose sustainable hardwoods with well-managed growth. Not sure what finish you want? Order a wood sample.
Safe, Odorless Glues

Our assembly utilizes Titebond® wood glues, which are safe and produce no harmful fumes. They meet the requirements of ASTM D4236 for safe use with arts and crafts and have both been approved for indirect food contact.
Climate Neutral Certified

As a Climate Neutral Certified company since 2019, we've measured Avocado's annual cradle-to-consumer emissions, offset them by investing in climate change solutions, and started taking real action to reduce our emissions. We also recognize our offsets and reductions aren't enough. Solving climate change will require systemic solutions. That's why, through our partnerships with Ceres and the American Sustainable Business Network, we also advocate for state and federal policies that support equitable solutions to the climate crisis. Project Zero Waste

We're proud to be certified by UL Solutions for a landfill diversion rate of 85%. That means only 15% of our manufacturing waste ends up in the landfill — we upcycle or recycle the rest. Since we began Project Zero Waste in 2020, we've been a pioneer in the space, increasing our waste diversion rate by 33%. We are the first mattress and bedding company to achieve this. Our City Bed Frame is made in our FSC® certified woodshops in Los Angeles, California, and Tecate, Mexico, where sustainability and social responsibility standards are high.

We operate an FSC®-certified (C156138) woodshop — in a facility completely separate from our mattress factory — which produces wood dust. Read California's required Proposition 65 warning for wood dust.
