Job's Tears (Coix lacryma-jobi) is a beautiful tropical grass native to Southeast Asia that has also become naturalized in parts of the Caribbean and the Americas. A member of the grass family (Poaceae), this unique ornamental plant produces graceful upright foliage and elegant arching stems topped with distinctive pearl-like seeds that resemble tears. The seeds are similar in size, shape, and color to barley, making this plant both visually striking and historically significant.
